It was elegant, fairly quiet and with character.

The Inn is a rambling old building and has tremendous potential if enough money was to be spent on it. To be fair the current managers have only been in post for a few weeks and appear to be doing very well. I wish them the very best of good fortune.
It was fine for an overnight stay but it needs a great deal of TLC,

Sadlers Catering, set within 5 minutes' walk, was the best for dining. Room was huge. Location, short way from all attractions. We loved old crown coaching inn...

perfect spot for leisurely walks and nearby attractions
I stayed for three nights and really enjoyed how close it was to Faringdon Folly Tower and Woodland, where I took lovely walks, and just a few steps from cozy cafes like TJ's Cafe where I had breakfast every morning.

The Coaching Inn had a lovely 'old' look and feel about it and had been maintained in a traditional way. It was clean and comfortable and the 4 poster added to the experience!!
Air Con would have been good, it was a really hot day/night and there was only a fire escape door that could be opened to get some air in. There was no hair dryer and the Shower was a bit tricky but effective.

By and large, it was lovely place for sightseeing in Swindon, had much fun and met welcoming and accommodating staff with a new manager. The venue was in a very central location near to a beautiful old market town, central Faringdon, and the centre of the market town of Faringdon. There was a tapas restaurant nearby. I had fabulous food for breakfast for a' healthy choice'.

Spacious Court Room with comfortable bedding and quality linen. The hotel restaurant serves excellent food, with well-presented dishes like scallops and cod that was really nice.
A couple issues to consider, my wine service fell flat, with no tasting or proper presentation for a pricey bottle. Breakfast timing was also off. I found myself waiting around only to be informed it was held outside in the courtyard. The Beautiful Room I moved to had little charm, lacking storage and facing a brick wall.

Location (close to Oxford and the Cotswolds, not too far from Bath), good price, friendly staff, clean room. Bus station just in front of the hotel with a bus that brings you to the centre of Oxford in less than 45 minutes.Quiet village.
Rooms are not sound proof (you can hear the guests in the other rooms)

The crown is charming. The superior double room was lovely and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The staff were attentive. The courtyard was also a great spot for evening drinks.
